The University of Minnesota is participating in a team of academic institutions, private companies, government agencies, and non-profits from across the country to create the new National Institute for Innovation in Manufacturing Biopharmaceuticals (NIIMBL). This group aims to transform biopharmaceutical manufacturing in the U.S. An article about NIIMBL appears on the Academic Health Center’s Health Talk blog: U joins national partnership aimed at expanding biopharmaceutical workforce and industry.

Four MSI researchers are among the seven U researchers who are providing leadership for the University’s participation: Vadim Gurvich (Associate Director, Institute for Therapeutics Discovery and Development; Wei-Shou Hu (Chemical Engineering and Materials Science); Raj Suryananrayanan (Pharmaceutics); and Jakub Tolar (Pediatrics; Director, Stem Cell Institute).
