University President Eric Kaler announced today that Professor Chris Cramer (Chemistry) will take over as Vice President for Research beginning November 12, 2018 and serving until November 12, 2020.
Professor Cramer is a long-time MSI PI and member of the MSI Director's Advisory Committee. He uses MSI resources for several projects that use novel and established classical and quantum mechanical methodologies to model chemical structures, properties, and reactivities. He is also a member of the Chemical Theory and Computation group, which harnesses high-performance computing to model chemical and biomolecular reactions. His work has been featured on the MSI website:
- A New Method for Creating a Catalyst on a Metal-Organic Framework, October 2016
- A New Metal-Organic Frame for Catalysis, December 2015
