The Supercomputing 2014 Conference is now accepting applications for their Experiencing HPC for Undergraduates program. This program is designed to introduce high-performance computing (HPC) research topics and techniques to undergraduate students. It takes place at the SC14 Conference, which will be held November 16-21, 2014 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The Experiencing HPC for Undergraduates program includes selected parts of the SC14 Technical Program, plus some special sessions. These include panels with graduate students who will discuss graduate school, and academic research and panels with senior HPC researchers in academia, industry, and government who will discuss HPC-related career fields.

The co-chair of the program, Jeff Hollingsworth, discusses the program in an HPCWire podcast that can be viewed on the HPCWire website.

Information about the SC14 conference can be found on their website. Applications must be submitted using the SC14 submission site.

Applicants must be undergraduate students at the sophomore level or above.
