MSI PI Dominik Schillinger (assistant professor, Civil, Environmental, and Geo- Engineering) has received a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE). This award goes to outstanding scientists and engineers who are beginning their independent research careers. They are made through participating government departments and agencies.
Professor Schillinger received the PECASE through the National Science Foundation. He uses MSI for the development of advanced multiscale and multiphysics simulation methods in computational mechanics.
