Improving Early Language Comprehension

Social Science

MSI PI Nidhi Kohli (professor, Educational Psychology) and colleagues Panayiota Kendeou and Kristen McMaster have been awarded a five-year, $3.9 million grant from the Institute of Education Sciences. The grant will allow the researchers to scale up their Early Language Comprehensive Individualized Instruction (ELCII) technology. This technology provides supplemental early instruction in language comprehension skills. A story about this award and the researchers appears on the College of Education and Human Development website: Ed Psych Researchers Awarded $3.8 Million Grant to Improve Early Language Comprehension.

Professor Kohli will lead data management and analyses in this project. She uses MSI resources as part of projects that develop statistical methods for longitudinal data research.
