The Center for Magnetic Resonance Research has received two federal grants under the BRAIN Initiative. One of these projects is co-headed by MSI Principal Investigator Michael Garwood, a professor of radiology (Medical School) along with radiology professor Thomas Vaughn. The grant will help fund the development of a small, portable magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) device.
Articles about this award can be found in the University Brief and the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. Professor Garwood uses MSI resources to create accurate simulations of novel frequency swept pulse sequences for MRI.
