MSI PI Jed Elison (Institute of Child Development) is one of the University of Minnesota co-PIs on a new project, funded by a $4 million National Institutes of Health grant, to study the development of the brain from infancy through early childhood. The project, called the Baby Connectome Project, will also be led by Kamil Ugurbil, director of the U’s Center for Magnetic Resonance Research, and the Biomedical Research Imaging Center at the University of North Carolina. A story about this project appears on the College of Education and Human Development website.
Professor Elison uses MSI resources to analyze MRI images in projects that investigate brain development across infancy.
