Project Title:
Empirical Examination of New Innovative Processes in Retail

This research examines innovative processes at retailers, across a variety of industries (e.g., apparel, e-commerce, consumer electronics, automobile spare parts) and applications (e.g., pricing decisions, inventory allocation, returns, forecasting). To create better understanding of these innovative processes, the researchers leverage structural estimation to generate counterfactual simulations for relevant policies. Estimating and running these simulations can be computationally burdensome - supercomputing resources make the required steps computationally feasible.
