Professor Jaideep Srivastava

The Srivastava research lab focuses on machine learning, with a specific focus on social media and digital health. One focus is studying the impact of how information spread through social media impacts people’s beliefs and behaviors. Specific topics include identifying misinformation, misinformation-spreaders, and those vulnerable to believing in misinformation in social networks. This research has both developed new machine learning methods, and applied methods from classical machine learning and recent advances in deep learning for these analyses.
