Project Title:
Differential Gene Expression Analysis in Allergic Animal Models
The objective of this research is to examine mechanistic differences in pathways to the allergic phenotype depending on age, sex, and allergic trigger. Besides examining pulmonary function and inflammation in the lung, this project examines gene expression in the lung to define differences. Molecular differences discovered in different asthma phenotypes will provide information regarding appropriate therapy for the disease depending on the age, gender, and inciting allergen.
