Professor Ellen Longmire

This group performs analysis of experimental data on turbulent and multi-phase flows. The data include planes or volumes of instantaneous velocity vectors as well as particle concentration, and interface location. The aim of this work is to improve the physical understanding of fundamental aspects of flow dynamics.

The group also performs simulations of emissions spectra in hypersonic flows in order to predict experimental outcomes on a small-scale test vehicle.
