Dr. Jacques Finlay

This group's research investigates the interactions between climate, land use, and land cover in regulating carbon and nutrient input to and cycling within freshwater ecosystems. They use a combination of data synthesis, field measurements, remote sensing, and modeling to understand how environmental changes influences the interactions between landasacpes and water quality and ecosystem processes within lakes and rivers.  Much of this work focuses on the upper Midwest, and arctic and boreal landscapes.
