Project Title:
The Role of the Microenvironment in Leukemia

This group is interested in understanding how the microenvironment influences leukemia. In particular, they compare the gene expression patterns of human leukemia cells isolated from different murine microenvironments, including the bone marrow, central nervous system, spleen, and blood. This allows them to better understand how these different microenvironments uniquely influence leukemia biology as well as develop novel approaches for targeting leukemia cells within these distinct microenvironments.
