Project Title:
Simulating Effects of Excitation vs Inhibition Changes in Visual Cortex
These researchers are investigating neurally plausible accounts for visual disorders that have been attributed to change in cortical excitability, specifically visual snow and migraine disorder. They are running state-of-the-art biologically plausible neural models of primary visual cortex to identify the range of parameter changes that could generate changes in neural "noise" or baseline firing.
