Project Title:
Thyroid Hormone and Iron Deficiencies and Brain Development
These researchers are assessing the impact of thyroid hormone and iron deficiencies on brain development. Thyroid hormone regulates gene transcription. Iron deficiency results in decreased levels of thyroid hormones. The group is interested in assessing the impact of both deficiencies on the transcriptome of the developing brain, retina, and liver.
