ANSYS is a general-purpose finite-element program for engineering analysis, and includes preprocessing, solution, and postprocessing functions. ANSYS is used in a wide range of disciplines for solutions to mechanical, thermal, and electronic problems. There are versions of ANSYS software for both UNIX-based and Windows operating systems.
To run this software in a Linux environment run the command(s):
module load ansys runwb2
Then open the "License Preferences" menu (under the Tools pull-down) and select "Use Academic Licenses" in the "Global Settings" section under the Solver tab. Then click OK and close the workbench.
