How do I add a security group to a running VM?

1) Log into the stratus web interface at https://stratus.msi.umn.edu
 

2) On the landing page you should see “Instances” on the left hand menu. Click it.

3) On the instance you wish to update, click the triangle on the right hand side.

4) On the sub menu, click “Edit Security Groups”.

5) A new window will appear, Click “Security Groups”

6) A new window will appear, Click the + sign next to the Security Group you wish to add.

7) Click “Save” and the new policy will be in effect.
