Brief Bio:
Guichuan Yu is the University of Minnesota Informatics Institute Material Science Imaging Analyst and the Characterization Facility Staff Scientist. He earned his Ph.D. in condensed matter physics from Stanford University in 2008. After one year of postdoc at Stanford University, he moved to the University of Minnesota as research associate at the School of Physics & Astronomy. Recently, he joined the Characterization Facility at the University of Minnesota. His research interests include developing data analysis methods for scanning probe microscopy, X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy as well as other material characterization techniques.
