These researchers are using MSI for several projects:

• Performing phylogenetic analyses of plants and floristic analysis of Papua New Guinea forest communities along a gradient from coastal lowlands to highland montane and cloud forests
• Genome wide discovery and analysis of QTL and other trait associated regions in Cannabis sativa for identification of predictive polymorphisms for marker-assisted breeding and diagnosis
• Ongoing mining of Illumina WGS data from a wide-cross Cannabis F2 mapping population; the researchers are working with MSI's Informatics staff
• New projects include: genome-wide association study, whole genome resequencing and comparison to identify trait associated genes, regulators, and associated cis and trans sequences as potential targets for genome editing for variety improvement
