Project Title:
Characterization and Identification of Biomarkers Related to Infectious Diseases and Treatment Efficacy

The Peterson research group is dedicated to the discovery and development of new drugs and therapeutics. They create innovative solutions by joining basic molecular concepts to clinical applications. By combining the knowledge of molecular mechanisms of diseases, particularly infectious diseases, with experimental and clinical pharmacology applications, the researchers have created new technologies. They utilize a systems biology approach to identify pathways or drug targets important in disease progression. They then seek to modify these pathways with therapeutic technologies to treat and/or prevent infectious diseases.
