Twin Cities
The University Imaging Centers (UIC) offers over 14,000 square feet of resource space over three separate sites on the Twin Cities campus: Snyder Hall in St. Paul, and Jackson Hall and the Cancer and Cardiovascular Research Building (CCRB) in Minneapolis. The UIC offers instrumentation, support and training for light and electron microscopy, in-vivo imaging from cellular to whole animal, and image analysis to over 800 users from 50+ units across campus.
A new UIC-MSI project this year is a recently awarded Minnesota Parnership grant on serial-block-face scanning electron microscopy. UIC is also adding new imaging modalities that could benefit from centralized compute/storage within MSI, including light-sheet and mass spectrometry imaging.
