Professor Helen Zhang

This project studies the disparity in mortgage lending within the Hispanic population in the United States. Using a HMDA rule change in 2018 about borrowers' ethnicities, these researchers aim to identify whether and how lenders change their lending behavior and how this impacts the performance of originated mortage. This involves the matching of millions of loan records with the size of around 200 GB and needs the support of MSI.
