Project Title:
Analysis of Water Flow and Fish Passage Through Locks and Dams

This project studies invasive carp in the Mississipppi River. Current interest focuses on how water flows through locks and dams and how fish use it to pass (or not). The researchers also look at how gates can be adjusted to influence carp and fish passage. They are using computational fluid dynamics solvers such as ANSYS-FLUENT and their own in-house code CURV-IB.
