Project Title:
Etiology of CAR T-cell-mediated Neurotoxicity
Neurotoxicity is the major adverse side effect limiting the efficacy of CAR T-cells, a type of cancer immunotherapy. Neurotoxicity cannot be prevented or treated adequately because our understanding of how it occurs is poor. This project employs a unique mouse model of CAR T-cell-induced neurotoxicity to test hypotheses about its etiology with the goal of identifying molecules or cells for targeted interventions.
