Project Title:
Infection and Immunity Bioinformatics

The infection and immunity bioinformatics group conducts state-of-the-art high-throughput functional -omics assays and approaches including genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, multiomics, and proteomics analysis along with bioinformatics analyses on model systems of infection and immunity, including infection by emerging viruses, bacteria, and HIV. These studies are designed and conducted to provide a comprehensive molecular characterization of pathogen-host interactions and immune responses in samples from in vivo or in vitro studies investigating infectious diseases. The group also conducts studies to evaluate immunogenicity and efficacy of vaccines or other infection prevention and mitigation strategies. They use MSI for data processing within their bioinformatics pipelines, data management, and data storage.
