Project Title:
Computational Modeling of Deep Brain Stimulation

This research focuses on developing new therapeutic approaches to managing neurological disorders through brain stimulation. The researchers develop computational models of brain anatomy reconstructed from subject MRI/CT, electric fields generated in brain tissue using finite element models, and neurons with membrane dynamics governed by sets of differential equations. The group uses both imaging visualization and supercomputing resources to simulate neuronal activity during stimulation.
