Project Title:
Modeling the Impact of Climate Change on Weed Population Dynamics

Climate change is impacting global agriculture and weeds are the major pest of agricultural crops. It is obvious that climate change is impacting the distribution and spread of invasive weed species in the world. This project focuses on the impact of climate change on the distribution and spread of ragweeds (Ambrosia spp.) throughout the world. Ragweeds are common weeds in North America and their pollen grains can cause allergy and hay fever in humans. Modeling the ragweeds' distribution in future environments will thus not only help agriculture but also help society.
