Project Title:
Insurer Medical Price Transparency National Price Beta Database
The National Medical Price Repository (NMPR) project aims to create a centralized and publicly accessible database of medical prices for shoppable services derived from health insurer data across the country. By collecting and standardizing these data, the NMPR will serve as a valuable resource to generate insights regarding how healthcare prices vary within and across insurers and providers geographically and over time. This resource will support the development of research evidence for data-driven policy decisions and regulatory action as well as the development of consumer decision-support tools to enable individuals to make informed healthcare provider choices.
