Using Computer Modeling to Predict Cancer’s Spread

Medicine

MSI PI David Odde, a professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and member of the Masonic Cancer Center, is featured in the spring issue of the University of Minnesota Foundation’s Legacy magazine. The story describes Professor Odde’s computational modeling of cancer-cell metastasis. This work is part of research funded by a National Cancer Institute grant; Professor Odde and MSI PI Professor David Largaespada (Pediatrics; Masonic Cancer Center) are co-leaders of the grant (see MSI news story from September 2016). You can read the Legacy story on the UM Foundation website: Predicting cancer’s next move.

Professor Odde uses MSI resources for computer modeling of cellular processes.
