Poster Session - Information for Poster Authors
The 2023 Research Computing Exhibition (formerly the MSI Research Exhibition) will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, 11 - 4 p.m., on the 4th and 5th floors of Walter Library.
Your poster should be no larger than 46 inches wide x 48 inches high. You must print your own poster.
RESEARCH COMPUTING MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE ACKNOWLEDGMENTS ON YOUR POSTER, either as a text acknowledgment or by use of the Research Computing wordmark.
NOTE: If you use MSI resources, we request that you acknowledge MSI as well as Research Computing. You can use both wordmarks, or include both in your acknowledgement statement. The link to the Google folder with the wordmarks is in your confirmation email.
Posters will be judged on the following criteria:
- How much did using RC resources contribute to the outcome of the research presented?
- How well is the use of RC resources communicated on the poster?
- How well is the importance of this scientific investigation communicated?
Poster Session: You will be notified prior to the event about which group you will be in. You should be at your poster during your 45-minute group.
- Group A: 1 - 1:45
- Group B: 1:45 - 2:30
- Group C: 2:30 - 3:15
Beginning at 11 a.m. and until 12:45 p.m.: You can put up your poster on the 5th floor of Walter. Posters will be assigned numbers, and maps of the poster display area will be available. MSI staff members will be available to help you hang your poster; come to the 5th floor elevator bay.
We would appreciate it if you left your posters up for the entire event. You can retrieve it at any time. If you would like to leave it up at MSI (for any length of time), we would be happy to display it here. You could have it back whenever you need it. Please contact me if you’d like to leave your poster on our walls (our visitors are always very interested to see our users’ research).
